Will there be sawdust or other debris? [Top]

All major cutting of parts, panels, molding, etc. will take place outdoors. Minor cuts such as cut outs for wiring and pluming, will take place indoors, with prompt cleanup.

What kinds of cabinetry does Wood Hut offer? [Top]

Our primary business is custom kitchens and bath vanities. Countertops are also offered in laminate, granite, or solid surfacing, which are often subcontracted to other providers though Wood Hut. We also build entertainment centers, computer centers, and some custom furniture.

What is the payment schedule for Wood Hut? [Top]

A design fee is required after the initial estimate is given. This will be applied to the total cost of the project. Upon signing of the contract for a project, a down payment of 50% will be required. Final payment is due the day the installation is completed.

What is included in the price? [Top]

Design, detailed construction drawings, materials, fabrication, delivery, and installation.

What does a kitchen cost? [Top]

A similar question is: What does a car Cost? Family cars for $12,000 or luxury vehicles for $40,000. They both are comfortable, and do what they are designed to do. The difference is in the features.

As a rough guide: Count up the linear feet of base cabinets and add to that the linear feet of wall cabinets. Figure the cabinets with melamine interiors, rustic alder, oak or maple or cherry raised panel or Shaker doors and drawer fronts, and finished end panels, and laminate counter top with splash.

Total cost, including installation, could run from $195 to $225 or more per linear foot. For the last 40 kitchens the Wood Hut has created, the average cost was $175 per linear foot. The spread was $90 to $295 per linear foot.

How does the process of commissioning custom work begin? [Top]

It's a five step Process:
1. Preliminary pricing over the phone or email.
2. Design consultation at your home or office, or project site.
3. Project proposal, including specifications, firm project price, drawings, and delivery schedule.
4. Building the project, which includes a visit to my shop so you can see the work in progress.
5. Installation

Can I contact other clients who you've done work for? [Top]

Absolutely. Many past clients have offered to confirm for new ones that the work I did for them was carefully designed, solidly build, and professionally installed. I may also be able to arrange to have you personally visit the home of previous clients to see the work and visit with the client.

Are credit cards accepted for payment? [Top]

No, at this time payments are only accepted in the form of check or cash.

Are financing plans available? [Top]

No. Wood Hut does not have the ability to accommodate loans of any amount.

Is there a warranty on the work? [Top]
